We like
Easy and varied hike: views from south to north, alternating overcast and open areas, the Tower and its rocky surroundings form a particular and very photogenic whole
To start the trail, go to the roundabout at the entrance of Cargèse, take the road to Peru beach and park on the car park (very nice sandy beach), then walk back to the left along a street that ends in a dead end, stairs indicate the start of your hike. Don't forget to bring sun protection, there is no water point on this hike, and in summer it is very hot.
Good hiking shoes for the few stony passages and here you go, no markings but the path is well marked, well maintained and very accessible, with its low stone walls and its multiple barriers. You will enjoy a walk along the coastline with a view of the sea and its wild coastline, and you will be intoxicated by the scents of the maquis, and after an hour the tower will be visible; it is in perfect condition and accessible right up to its platform. The view on the bay of Cargese is magnificent, the return is done by the same way as on the way out.
