tassu (abandoned village)

Le Tassu lies in the middle of a triangle formed by the villages of Evisa, Marignana and Cristinacce.
In the past, the trade routes of these villages all passed through the hamlet of Tassu.
At its peak, the hamlet, made up of just a few houses, had a population of 95.
It began to decline when the design of the D24 road, which was built at the beginning of the 20th century, was inscribed well above the village.
The last inhabitant, Pascal Battesti, died in 1935, and today the trails are used only by hikers and hunters.
This hike is ideal for children.
