A path descends to the right of the "Tête du chien". In about thirty minutes, through the multiform rocks, a winding path will lead you to a rocky platform, from where you can see the "Château-fort", a stone fortress overlooking the gulf.

It's around a hairpin bend on the D81 at the Calanche exit on the left that we see this enormous rock in the shape of a dog's head, from where a path leads to the Château-fort. You'll arrive at an esplanade offering a 180° panoramic view of Capo Rosso, Scandola, Girolata, the Calanche, and in the distance the villages of Piana, Partinello and Osani, ending up on the Gulf of Porto. A very pleasant walk through this small forest and through a maze of magnificent reddish rocks. Some great photos to come...
