The beach of Porto with its multicoloured pebbles and its forest of eucalyptus, overhung by its quadrangular Genoese tower (which can be visited) is famous for its fabulous sunset; the site classified as a world heritage site by Unesco is of breathtaking beauty when the setting sun colours the red granite cliffs framing the gulf. The marina in Porto is a good starting point for visiting the Scandola nature reserve and the hamlet of Girolata. You can also visit the aquarium which presents the fauna and flora.
